The story opens nicely enough as The Doctor and Sarah wander around the lesser seen areas of the TARDIS and come across the beautiful secondary control room. Wood panelling in the TARDIS looks awesome.
The long and the short of the story is that it is a very unsubtle metaphor for religion blinding people to reason and faith being science you can't explain away. However this is hardly a new idea for Doctor Who and the story feels like we're treading old ground.
At the start this feels like a nice old style historical (albeit with an SF theme) which is a refreshing change. Sadly, it transpires that 15th century Italy is a bit dull.
Not very exciting. Plods along a bit and I'm really not that inspired to write much more about it.
5/10
